Living Rooms Round Up

Here is a quick round up of the living rooms that we are ogling at this precise moment. They don’t all fall into one particular category or style of design. But they are all fabulous! We will let these images speak for themselves.

Bachelor Pad Ideas

Bachelor pads have a reputation of being either extremely stark or on the mismatched messy side, so we have put together this bag of tricks to help refine the man den.

The home entertainment zone is ever present in a bachelor pad, so get it right with enough stylish storage to house all your gadgets, and always hide away ugly wiring. If you’re not a collector of knickknacks, textured wall panels add personality to a living space, though do try to break up collections of books with some softer forms to create a more visually pleasing shelf display. Plenty of shelving for music and magazines keeps the place tidy and organized, and smart storage hides away junk in a flash, choose furniture of just a few shades for a pulled together cohesive look.

Furniture pieces should not hug the walls or be condemned to one level. Move the sofa toward the centre room, it actually creates the illusion of a larger space, and don’t forget to utilize the full height of your room with wall mounted units.

Photographs and artwork personalize a home, and plants always soften a space, making it look lived in and looked after.
Never underestimate the power of layering; neat layering builds a homely feel, so add a rug beneath a coffee table and a few cushions to the sofa to add warmth and pops of color.
Don’t forget to scatter around a couple of lamps too, so that you don’t always have the overhead lights beaming, and can enjoy softer mood lighting.

Eaux Sink by Joel Roberts

The Eaux Eaux sink is Joel Roberts take on the oceanic wave. The simple form, in one fluid motion, integrates the spout into the basin. It’s like the flow and ebbing of the waves in a synchronized dance. The base is secured into a recessed counter top while the stainless steel body is glam-ed up with a blush of paint. The overall effect is perfect and yes….I want one for mi casa.

Fl’eau Bath Design by Joel Roberts

Inspired by the very nature of water in motion, Fl’eau bath designed by Joel Roberts has evolved from a single surface corian body celebrating the beauty of fluidity. This bath is another great creation by Joel Roberts following the already popular Eaux Eaux sink.
Fl’eau is a freestanding bath that has embodied the notion of an overflowing bath to create stability to an otherwise rounded and unstable tub, one that is symmetrical and viably accessible from either side.
Fl’eau’s allure derives from its feminine curvature and twisted, flowing lines, creating a comfortable and practical bath that would act as a centrepiece in any home.
